Noviatic is a European contract manufacturer of finished food supplements, based in Vilnius and Kaunas, Lithuania. We manufacture energy and performance supplements – pre-workout blends, stamina formulas, B-complex and adaptogen-based products – for supplement brands, sports nutrition companies and distributors across 40+ countries, inside our own GMP-certified facility.
Few supplement categories attract as many different product briefs as energy and performance. A pre-workout powder for a gym brand, a B-vitamin complex for an office wellness range and an adaptogen capsule for a stress-and-focus DTC brand are all technically “energy supplements” – but they contain different ingredients, suit different formats and target different consumers.
The formulas we produce most often in this category:
Pre-workout blends – typically powders, capsules and liquid shots containing combinations of caffeine, B vitamins, amino acids, electrolytes, botanical extracts and minerals. Designed for consumption before physical activity.
B-complex and energy vitamins – B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9 and B12 in tablets, capsules or sublingual sprays. One of the highest-volume energy supplement formats in European pharmacy retail.
Adaptogen formulas – ashwagandha, ginseng, rhodiola and similar botanical extracts in capsules or powders, positioned around stamina, stress resilience and sustained energy rather than stimulation.
Electrolyte and hydration powders – magnesium, potassium, sodium and B vitamins in single-serve powder format for active lifestyle and recovery positioning.
Energy shots – single-serve liquid shots containing B vitamins, caffeine, taurine and botanical extracts. Fast-use format for on-the-go active lifestyle positioning.
Multivitamin and mineral blends for active consumers – broader daily formulas built around an active lifestyle consumer, combining vitamins, minerals and functional ingredients in tablet or capsule format.
A stimulant pre-workout for a gym brand and a stimulant-free adaptogen capsule for an office wellness range are both “energy” briefs on paper, but they need different formats, packaging and usually a different retail channel.
We work through that positioning question with you at the brief stage – audience, moment of use, stimulant tolerance and target channel – built on having taken energy and performance formulas through this process across 40+ export markets.
B vitamins – B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, B12. The core of most energy supplement formulas across European retail.
Magnesium – widely included in active lifestyle and recovery formulas across multiple forms (citrate, glycinate, malate).
Zinc – commonly included in active lifestyle and men’s health energy formulas.
Taurine – a standard inclusion in energy shots and pre-workout blends.
Amino acids – L-carnitine, L-arginine, BCAAs and others, depending on whether the positioning is endurance, strength or recovery.
Adaptogens – ashwagandha (KSM-66 and Sensoril are the most commonly specified extracts), ginseng, rhodiola rosea, eleuthero.
Caffeine – included in pre-workout and energy shot formulas.
Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) – included in energy and cellular health positioning formulas, often in softgel or liposomal format.
Iron – included in formulas targeting fatigue support, particularly for women’s health and prenatal positioning.
Vitamin C – standard inclusion in many energy and immunity-adjacent formulas.
Cordyceps and lion’s mane – functional mushrooms increasingly specified in energy and cognitive performance formulas.
Caffeine rarely appears alone here: guarana, green tea extract and yerba mate all contribute their own naturally occurring caffeine and we calculate the total caffeine equivalent across every source in a formula before it goes on a label, not just the caffeine listed as its own line item.
Adaptogen extracts like ashwagandha and rhodiola carry a natural bitterness that needs masking without diluting the dose, and in shot and pre-workout formats – taken close to physical activity – consistent fill per serving matters more than it does in a once-daily vitamin.
Capsules – the default format for single-active and combination energy supplements. Adaptogen extracts, B-complex and CoQ10 are most commonly produced in capsule form.
Tablets – suited to B-complex and multivitamin-style energy formulas at scale. Cost-efficient for high-volume pharmacy and retail briefs.
Powders – the primary format for pre-workout blends and electrolyte formulas. Single-serve stick packs or jars, flavoured or unflavoured.
Energy shots – 60 ml liquid shots for on-the-go active lifestyle positioning. B vitamins, taurine and botanical extracts in a fast-use single-serve format.
Sublingual sprays – B12 and B-complex in spray format for fast-uptake positioning.
