Raw Material Sourcing and Supplier Qualification – How We Buy Ingredients.

We buy certified ingredients, formulate and produce finished supplements and ship ready-to-sell products under your label. How we source and vet the raw materials behind every product is what this page covers.

Our supplier network

Every ingredient comes from a qualified supplier. No exceptions.

We source from a vetted supplier network – assessed against defined criteria for quality, purity and traceability. A supplier does not enter our network without passing qualification, and staying in it requires consistent performance against those same standards.

This matters because the quality of a finished supplement is only as strong as the ingredients inside it. A well-run production line and a fully certified facility cannot fix a raw material that was substituted, mislabelled or below specification before it arrived. Supplier qualification is where product integrity starts.

Incoming inspection

Every delivery is tested before it enters production

Every incoming delivery – regardless of how long we have worked with that supplier – goes through incoming inspection and QC testing before it is accepted into stock, carried out in-house or through accredited external labs depending on the parameter, and checked against current EU regulatory requirements.

What incoming inspection covers:

  • We confirm that what arrived is what was ordered, and test it against the agreed specification to rule out substitution, adulteration or degradation.
  • Identity and purity are verified against approved reference standards before the material is released into stock.

No material enters a production line without a passing result. This applies to every ingredient, every delivery, every time.

Traceability

Full traceability from finished product back to raw material origin

Every ingredient that enters our facility is logged against its supplier, lot number and country of origin. That chain runs all the way through to the finished, packaged product – so every batch we ship can be traced back completely.

If a raw material issue arises – a supplier recall, a contamination event, a specification change – we can identify exactly which batches are affected and move quickly. The documentation regulators and retailers ask for already exists.

Client-supplied ingredients

You can supply your own actives. The same standards apply.

If you prefer to source your own active ingredients and supply them to us for production, that fits naturally into how we work. We don’t synthesise actives – we use the materials you provide as received, and they go through the same incoming inspection and QC testing as the ingredients we source ourselves. Once your ingredient is in our facility and in your product, its quality is part of the finished batch.

Ingredient selection and formulation

Ingredient sourcing is built into the formulation process, not bolted on after

When our R&D team develops a formula – whether from scratch or adapting an existing one – ingredient selection and sourcing review is part of the process, not a separate step that happens later. That means formulas are developed with real, qualified, sourceable ingredients, not theoretical inputs that create supply problems when production starts.

For custom formulation work, our R&D team handles ingredient selection and sourcing as part of the development brief.

Common questions

What brands ask us about ingredient sourcing?

Can we choose our own ingredients or specify a preferred supplier?

Yes. You can supply your own actives or specify a preferred supplier for a particular ingredient. Either way, every incoming material goes through our QC lab before it reaches a production line. If you have no preference, we source from our qualified supplier network.

Every incoming material is verified for identity and checked against the approved specification before it’s accepted. Anything that doesn’t meet the criteria is rejected and never reaches a production line.

It is quarantined and does not enter production. We investigate, notify you and source a replacement from a qualified supplier. No production run starts on a material that has not passed incoming inspection.

Yes. Organic ingredient sourcing is available through our EcoAgros-certified process. Non-GMO options are available on request. These are confirmed at the quote stage based on your product requirements.

Yes. Full traceability documentation – including supplier, lot number and country of origin for every ingredient in a batch – is available as part of the batch documentation. It is included in the traceability chain that runs from finished product back to raw material origin.

Ingredient changes after formulation are possible but go through our R&D and QC teams for assessment before production. Depending on the change, reformulation, re-testing or a new pilot batch may be required. Your project manager will advise on what is needed and the impact on timeline.
