Noviatic is a European contract manufacturer of finished food supplements, based in Vilnius and Kaunas, Lithuania. We manufacture supplements for German brands, pharmacy chains and distributors – across tablets, capsules, liquids, powders and sprays – inside our own EU GMP-certified facility, with NemV-compliant labelling and BVL-ready documentation prepared as standard.
Our products are stocked in German pharmacy chains, drugstores and online retailers including Shop Apotheke, Rossmann, Doc Morris, Redcare, apo.com and apotheke.de.
No customs duties. No import declarations. No border inspections on routine shipments. A supplement manufactured in our GMP-certified facilities in Vilnius and Kaunas carries the same regulatory standing in Germany as one manufactured in Munich or Hamburg – and arrives with the documentation German retailers, pharmacy chains and regulators require.
We have been supplying German brands and distributors since 2006. The regulatory framework, the retailer qualification requirements and the label rules are not new territory for us.
Tablets – standard, coated/uncoated, chewable and bi-layer, for pharmacy, drugstore and DTC channels.
Capsules – hard gelatin, HPMC (vegan) and softgel (only PL).
Liquids – shots, drops, pipettes syrups, sprays, omega-3 on dedicated liquid lines.
Powders – stick packs and jars, with flavour development tailored to the German market.
Sprays and drops – oral sprays, nasal drops and sublingual formats for premium and convenience-positioned SKUs.

NemV (Nahrungsergänzungsmittelverodrnung) – the German Food Supplement Regulation, which implements the EU Food Supplements Directive into German law and establishes the permitted vitamins and minerals, forms and conditions of use for supplements sold in Germany.
BfR maximum quantity recommendations – the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment publishes recommended maximum amounts for vitamins and minerals in supplements. These are not legally binding in the same way as NemV, but they are the standard German retailers and pharmacy chains apply when evaluating products. Formulas designed within BfR limits are significantly easier to list in German pharmacy and retail channels.
BVL notification – food supplements must be notified to the Bundesamt für Verbraucherschutz und Lebensmittelsicherheit (BVL) before they are placed on the German market. The notification requires a product dossier including formula, label, allergen declaration and manufacturer documentation.
What does this mean for your project?
We provide the technical information and manufacturer documentation needed from our side of the BVL notification. Before the project is confirmed, the customer or their regulatory adviser must set out which German-market, notification and documentation requirements apply to the specific product, so we can confirm upfront whether we are able to meet them.
We do not establish the full BVL filing requirements or prepare the regulatory submission. Responsibility for the regulatory assessment, final dossier and notification stays with the customer. We remain transparent throughout about exactly which documents and information we can supply.
Germany operates one of the most detail-specific supplement regulatory environments in the EU. Brands selling food supplements in Germany need to be aware of three regulatory layers that go beyond the EU baseline:
German pharmacy chains and major drugstore groups conduct rigorous supplier qualification. The documentation they typically request includes GMP certification, ISO 13485, facility overview, quality manual summary, sample batch records and a Certificate of Analysis per batch. We provide all of it.
The supplements we manufacture are stocked across the German pharmacy, drugstore and online retail channels – buyers with strict supplier qualification standards and detailed documentation requirements.

No. We do not prepare, submit or manage the BVL notification or any other regulatory filing on the customer’s behalf.
We support the process by providing the technical information and manufacturer documentation available from our side – including product specifications, formulation details, Certificates of Analysis, manufacturing certificates and relevant label information. The customer or their appointed regulatory adviser must identify the exact documentation required, assess the product’s compliance and complete the notification.
The customer or their appointed regulatory adviser must identify and communicate the applicable German requirements – including any NemV restrictions and BfR dosage recommendations – at the start of the project.
Based on this information, our formulation team assesses whether the requested formula can be manufactured and flags any technical or formulation limitations. We provide the relevant product and ingredient information from our side and stay transparent about what can and cannot be achieved. Final regulatory assessment and confirmation of compliance remain the responsibility of the customer or their regulatory adviser.
Yes. We can implement German-language and multilingual labelling based on the final text, translations and regulatory requirements supplied and approved by the customer or their appointed regulatory adviser.
The customer is responsible for providing and approving all label content, including the ingredient list, nutrition declaration, allergen statements, warnings and mandatory German wording. We provide the relevant technical product information from our side and apply the customer-approved content to the packaging. Final regulatory and linguistic approval remains the customer’s responsibility.
Major German drugstore groups and pharmacy chains conduct or commission supplier audits as part of qualification.
No. Lithuania and Germany are both EU member states. Finished product moves under EU single-market rules – no customs duties, no import declarations, no border inspections on routine shipments.
Products we manufacture are sold through Shop Apotheke, Rossmann, Doc Morris, Redcare, apo.com, apotheke.de, Amazon.de and Rewe, among others.
Yes. Our private label library covers everyday wellness categories – multivitamins, immunity, beauty, omega oils, liposomal liquids/capsules and functional shots – as well as more targeted categories including active lifestyle, muscles and tendons, bones and joints, neuro and memory, heart and blood circulation, women’s health, men’s health, libido and sexual wellness, longevity, mushrooms and children’s health. Most formulas can be adjusted on dose or format before production, and private label is the fastest route to market for brands without an existing formula.
MOQ is confirmed per project during the quote and varies by format and formula complexity. Pilot batches are available for new formulations.
Approximately 11–13 weeks from purchase order for an existing or private label formula. Custom formulation adds time – confirmed per project.
