Noviatic’s in-house R&D team develops more than 300 new formulas every year – adapting to new ingredients, evolving categories and the specific briefs of the brands we manufacture for. Our most significant proprietary development is Miosol™, a patented liposomal delivery technology that improves how nutrients are absorbed in the body. It is developed, manufactured and controlled entirely in-house, and it is available exclusively to the brands we produce for.
Our R&D team works across every major supplement category – vitamins and minerals, omega-3, collagen, probiotics, herbal extracts, liposomal formulations, sports nutrition, sleep support, cognitive health, children’s health and more. They develop formulas from scratch, adapt existing ones on request and track both scientific research and market trends to make sure what we develop is commercially relevant the moment it reaches the shelf.
Every formula goes through ingredient selection and sourcing review, flavour adaptation for target markets, regulatory checks for country-specific compliance and full safety and efficacy testing before production begins. A formula that works in a lab but fails in the market is not useful to anyone – so we build for both.
Custom formulas developed through our R&D process belong to the brand we develop them for. We do not reuse or resell formulations.
Most of what goes into a standard supplement never fully reaches the bloodstream. Nutrients hit the stomach, encounter stomach acid and break down before the body has a real chance to absorb them. For the brand, that means a product that looks strong on paper but underdelivers in practice. For the consumer, it means paying for a benefit they are not fully receiving.
Miosol™ addresses this at the delivery level by encapsulating active ingredients in phospholipid carriers – the same lipid-based structures that cells use to transport compounds across membranes. The microcapsule protects the ingredient through the digestive process and releases it further along the absorption pathway.
The technology is patented, developed and manufactured entirely within our own facility. It is not licensed from a third party and it is not available through any other manufacturer.
Liposomal technology is not the right approach for every formula – and we will tell you that upfront. It adds complexity and cost, and for many nutrients a standard delivery format works perfectly well. But for categories where bioavailability is the primary challenge, Miosol™ changes what a product can genuinely claim to deliver.
We most commonly apply Miosol™ in formulations for ferrum, glutathione, CoQ10 and curcumin – all nutrients with notoriously low absorption rates in standard formats. It is also well suited for vitamin D3, K2 and B12 products where both stability and absorption are concerns.
If you are developing a product where bioavailability is a real differentiator rather than just a marketing claim, this is worth a conversation.
The supplement market moves quickly. An ingredient that is niche in January can appear in ten new product launches by September, and brands that are not paying attention miss the window. Our R&D team tracks peer-reviewed research, EU regulatory updates and consumer trend signals to understand which ingredients are building genuine scientific credibility and which are approaching mainstream demand.
That intelligence feeds directly into what we develop. When a brand comes to us asking about a category we have already been watching, the formulation work starts from a much stronger position than if we were starting cold. We do not publish our research pipeline, but we share relevant insights with the brands we manufacture for as part of the ongoing relationship.
What is Miosol™ and who owns it?
Miosol™ is Valentis group patented liposomal delivery technology. It is developed, manufactured and owned entirely by Valentis group – not licensed from a third party. It is available exclusively to the brands we manufacture for and cannot be sourced through any other manufacturer.
Which nutrients benefit most from Miosol™?
Nutrients with low natural bioavailability or stability challenges benefit the most – ferrum, glutathione, CoQ10, curcumin, vitamin D3, K2 and B12 are the most common applications. For nutrients that absorb well in standard formats, liposomal delivery adds cost without proportionate benefit, and we will tell you that upfront.
Can Miosol™ be used across different product formats?
Yes. Miosol™ encapsulation is most commonly applied in liquid formulations and can be adapted for other formats depending on the formula brief. We assess suitability during the formulation stage.
Do you develop custom formulas from scratch?
Yes. Our R&D team develops more than 300 new formulas every year, taking briefs from concept through to pilot batch and full production. Custom formulas developed for a specific brand belong to that brand – we do not reuse or resell them.
Can we adapt an existing formula rather than starting from scratch?
Yes. We have a library of tested, ready-to-sell private label formulas that can be adjusted to meet your specific requirements – different ingredient levels, flavours or formats. It is the fastest route from brief to finished product, and it is how many brands start before moving to fully custom formulation.
How do you stay current with ingredient and market trends?
Our R&D team tracks peer-reviewed research, EU regulatory changes and supplement market trends on an ongoing basis. That knowledge informs the formulas we develop and is shared with the brands we work with where it is relevant to their product range.
Share your format, indicative volume and target markets and we will come back to you within a few business day to confirm receipt and let you know what we need to prepare a full response. Pricing, capability details and a fit assessment follow as soon as we have reviewed your brief.
